PROJECT SPECIFICATION

Laws and Regulations

Environmental protection plays an integral role at Villeroy & Boch as shown by the fact that all of the company's processes with an impact on the environment are managed by a central environmental management system and networked worldwide. With the aim of continuously developing new and innovative production processes and solutions to allow more efficient use of energy and raw materials, to reduce emissions and continuously improve the sustainability of products - far beyond applicable laws and obligations.

EMAS validation for 4 sites

To achieve long-term improvements in energy efficiency, Villeroy & Boch has joined the Eco Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS), a voluntary instrument of the European Union.

A standardised management system is used to ensure the continuous improvement of environmental performance, which is checked annually and validated by a state-supervised independent environmental auditor.

The success of Villeroy & Boch's environmental policy is confirmed by EMAS validation of the plants in Mettlach, Merzig, Torgau and Sweden.

Certified to DIN ISO 9001

Villeroy & Boch was the first ceramics manufacturer to be certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 for the entire building ceramics area. Applying worldwide across all sites.

According to this certification, Villeroy & Boch agrees to regular audits of all production and business processes by an accredited certifier and to ensuring compliance with the quality management system introduced.

Compliance with strict rules and standards allows Villeroy & Boch to guarantee the premium quality of all its services and products.

Water saving tip: looking out for this symbol!

The Water Label tells you at a glance how much water is consumed by each flush of a toilet.

This makes it very easy to compare different models of toilet and helps you choose more efficient solutions. An ideal way of reducing water consumption and therefore costs in properties.

Water Label is a European labelling system for the water efficiency of sanitary products, to which the majority of manufacturers and industry associations have signed up.
