A colour and format concept for modern spa architecture – Villeroy & Boch tiles in SoleVital, Bad Laer
The salty waters of the Neuen Martinsquelle spring in Bad Laer are known for their healing properties. The SoleVital Health Centre utilises the benefits of salt to treat rheumatic diseases, cardiac and circulatory diseases and respiratory diseases and also offers massages, physiotherapy and medical treatments in warm 32°C water.
The new 9.5-million-euro SoleVital building opened on 5th February 2015 after thirteen months of construction. On the basis of the renovation reports received, Bad Laer Touristik GmbH decided to replace the old spa treatment centre dating from 1975 with a new one, to be built right next to the existing building.
The modern health centre is barrier-free and the usable space in the building has been fully optimised. The building includes an exercise and treatment area with lift slab floor, a recreational space with steam bath, a wellness department with gymnasium, a department for medical treatments and a foyer with café. The round shapes in the futuristic, clean, clearly laid-out architecture are design elements that link each part of the centre together. The dominant colour in the building’s light Alucobond panel shell and interior is White, which in the interior has been accented with the CI colour Blue.
With its comprehensive portfolio of essential channel and pool-edge systems, Villeroy & Boch has been a trusted building, renovation and restoration partner for swimming pools and wellness centres for many years now. In addition to a variety of technical features, the branded company also offers modular colour and format concepts, such as the PRO ARCHITECTURA range used at SoleVital, for the creation of appealing designs in modern spa architecture.
