CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR PORCELAIN

In order to keep your crockery in good condition, the following advices should be noted:

  • Select a low temperature programme for a mild wash.
  • Because of regional variation in the quality of water, make sure sufficient decalcifying is agent is used.
  • Take care when arranging the items in the dishwasher, chips and cracks occur often at this stage.
  • Observe the manufacturer’s advice on wash time and quantity of detergent.
  • Large solid objects should be washed by hand.
  • Open the dishwasher once the wash cycle is over to allow the steam to escape and prevent condensation from forming.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CUTLERY

The following tips are recommended for the care of all types of stainless steel cutlery:

  • Wash immediately after use. If cutlery is left unwashed over a lengthy period, acids from food residue can attack the oxide layer protecting the rust-proof stainless steel.
  • Similarly, the risk of tarni shing can be avoided by washing the cutlery immediately.
  • Place the cutlery in the cut lery basket with the handles pointing downwards – upright and unsorted, thus enabling the water jets to access all soiled parts in optimum effect.
  • Remove the cutlery immediately from the dishwasher as soon as the washing cycle is complete; items that are still damp should be wiped dry.
  • Follow the operating instructions supplied with your dishwasher and make sure you only use the recommended detergents and rinse aids. It is also best to use tablets so that the correct amount of detergent is used.

CARE CONSTRUCTIONS FOR DRINKING GLASSES

In order to keep the shining aspect of your glasses please follow those few care tips:

DISHWASHER

Before putting the glasses in the dishwasher it is preferable to rinse them to avoid acids to damage the glasses.

  • To avoid breakage during the wash place the glasses so that they don’t touch each other.
  •  Always put the glasses in the upper compartment.
  • Stemmed glasses shouldn’t be placed in the corners in order to let the washing liquid reach all items.
  • To keep the shininess of your glasses respect the washing programs, the amount of detergents, the temperature and check the mildness of the water.
  •  Rather choose a short and low temperature program.
  • Respect the given quantity for detergents and use a special glass agent to preserve your glasses.
  • The detergents shouldn’t contain any sand and should be soft to not damage the glasses
  • Fill the salt compartment regularly to milder the water and avoid limescale marks.
  • Keep filter, helix and pipes clean.
  • At the end of the cycle open the dishwasher during 5-10 minute to avoid marks left on the glasses by the steam.
  •  Hold the glasses by the bottom when putting them away to avoid finger marks.
  •  Glasses with gold or silver pattern as well as hand painted should be washed by hand.

HAND WASH

  • Use hot water, a towel or a sponge.
  • Use a soft dish liquid and no detergent.

DRYING AND POLISHING

  • To dry the glasses put those head down on a towel.
  • To make them shiny put them above steam.
  • Use a towel to dry your glasses but do not use any softener or strengthener to wash your towels.
  • Let the glasses cool down before polishing them and use a flax towel.
  • Never hold the glasses by the foot to dry them.
  • First dry the foot. Then take the glass in one hand and dry it with the other.
  • Glasses, in particular wine glasses, should be placed foot down otherwise they could take some smells and so alter wine aroma.
