The Future of Wellbeing

International Hotel Event, London

Future trends and movements in hotel design dominated London from 18 - 20 October 2016. 170 architects from all over the world used “The Future of Wellbeing” as a platform to discuss the latest developments in hospitality, architecture and design. Numerous workshops and discussion groups with leading experts examined the different aspects of this theme, providing plenty of interesting insights and new perspectives.

Villeroy & Boch organised the event in cooperation with the renowned British “Sleeper” magazine and the Fraunhofer Institute. Building on the “East meets West” architecture conference held in Mettlach in 2015, the latest event demonstrated new solutions and approaches for hotel bathrooms fit for the future.

Mega trends in the hospitality industry

A “greater awareness of one's self”, according to Chris Sanderson, co-founder of the  Future Laboratory agency, is increasingly becoming the focal point of design and architecture in the hospitality industry. This subject generated a lot of interest among the attendees and was the main topic of many a discussion during the two days.
