The Radisson Hotel Group, which includes ten hotel brands, is currently operating and developing more than 1,250 hotels in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. All of the hotels combine a highly functional design with a relaxed ambience. The Radisson Hotel Nice Airport, which offers holiday and business travels all of the hotel comforts for a pleasant stay, has over 151 spacious, modern rooms and suites. Mediterranean cuisine is served at Restaurant L’Azur, while the pool bar with outdoor pool and terrace invites people to relax. In addition, the four-star hotel has six conference rooms with a total area of 365 m², which are all equipped with the latest conference technology.

The Parisian architectural firm Knoll Architects was commissioned with redesigning the building, which houses both the Radisson Hotel Nice Airport as well as office space. Fabrice Knoll who, together with his brother Didier, has already worked for the Radisson Hotel Group several times, developed an architectural concept in his typical style that harmoniously combines the exterior and interior with each other, bringing functional and aesthetic aspects into perfect harmony. A dynamic stone facade was created, for example, in a light cream and warm sand shade - and both colours are played on in many ways in the hotel interior and are enlivened with refreshing shades of blue. The entrance area is accentuated by an imposing glass structure with canopy, which gives the building transparency and floods the lobby with daylight. An extraordinary lighting system made of ceiling spotlights, pendant lamps, and organically curved fluorescent tubes impresses here.

The Mediterranean colour concept is brought together with a clean Scandinavian interior design throughout the entire hotel, which creates a pleasant atmosphere – from the lobby, to the restaurant and bar, to the hotel rooms and baths. The interior design of the guest rooms combines flooring, modern wardrobes and tables made of light wood with soft curtains in a gentle beige, and beds and seating in a strong blue or fine grey.

The comfortable bathrooms successfully integrated into the room consistently continue this look. The select sanitary elements from Villeroy & Boch work excellently with the light wooden furniture and glass partitions. The radiant white baths from the Libra series and the ultra-flat shower trays from the Squaro Infinity series, both made from Quaryl®, meet the highest standards in terms of function, aesthetics and comfort. The built-in baths offer an intelligent 2-in-1 solution of bath and shower area, which is ideal for limited spatial conditions. The rimless shower trays are available in nearly 50 different sizes and can also be customised to the millimetre to create planning and installation options that are simply not possible with standard dimensions.

The toilets from the Subway 3.0 series are also impressive: The linear, wall-mounted toilets are equipped with the innovative, water-saving TwistFlush toilet flush, which delivers a clean hygienic flushing result with powerful swirling water, which exceeds the requirements of EN997. TwistFlush is far quieter than a conventional flush system. The rimless DirectFlush shape also allows for quick thorough cleaning.
