Equip with sanitary ware and Tableware products

Located in Salzburg’s old town, the Goldener Hirsch luxury hotel has always been a popular haunt for culinary aficionados and celebrities from all over the world: great stars from the Salzburg Festival and international celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Herbert von Karajan, Luciano Pavarotti, the Rothschilds, the Gettys and the Prince of Wales have all been guests here. Goldener Hirsch and Villeroy & Boch share a common motive – to preserve tradition  while still keeping up with the times. And this was evident in every detail after the long-standing hotel had been renovated. The Villeroy & Boch products were adorned with specially designed partner logos and design elements of the Goldener Hirsch in order to reflect the individual character of the hotel.

New splendour in the heart of Salzburg’s old town

The complete renovation of one of the most traditional hotels in the heart of the old town of Salzburg, the Goldener Hirsch luxury hotel with a history dating back to the 14th century, took less than a year. Located in the city centre between Getreidegasse and the festival halls, the hotel operating under Marriott’s “The Luxury Collection” brand is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Goldener Hirsch shines in splendour once again, just in time for the start of the festival season: great craftsmanship and loving attention to detail are evident in each of the 70 exclusive rooms and suites that were given a sophisticated country style revamp and fitted with partially customised sanitary ware from Villeroy & Boch. The restaurants use Villeroy & Boch porcelain, designed especially for the reopening of the hotel, for serving their delicacies. The building’s traditional charm has been preserved without having to compromise on modern comforts.

Modern shower toilets and elegant washbasins from Villeroy & Boch

The bathrooms in the guest rooms have been fitted with sanitary ware from Villeroy & Boch.

The curved, oval undercounter washbasin from the Evana collection along with the countertop made from red Adnet marble, which has been quarried in Salzburg for centuries and can be found in many places and buildings in the old town, radiates timeless elegance. Every single room has been fitted with the ViClean-I 100 shower toilet that enables a thorough and gentle clean feeling provided by fresh water.  The guests can easily select various shower features using a remote control.

To highlight the individual character, the toilet seats have been discreetly decorated with the hotel’s logo, specially designed for the Goldener Hirsch. The sanitary facilities in the general hotel area have been fitted with the new rimless toilet generation from the Subway 2.0 collection as well as urinals from the Architectura range from Villeroy & Boch.

Villeroy & Boch porcelain for the perfect table setting

The reception area, the Goldener Hirsch bar and the two restaurants have also been given a major makeover.

Two new culinary concepts will be offered in the future: in the award-winning restaurant, the head chef Martin Bednarik will treat the guests to modern fine dining, whereas the cosy “Herzl” will serve traditional Austrian delicacies. The Stella Vogue and Stella Hotel Premium Bone Porcelain collections from Villeroy & Boch provide everything for the perfect table setting. An exclusive décor was designed and adapted for the traditional hotel. A deer adorns the porcelain as a special design element and for brand recognition.
