Hiking in summer, skiing in winter. The Alps are a destination of longing for many people because of the high recreational value they offer, and they attract millions of visitors annually. In the middle of this idyllic place, in Leutkirch in Allgau, Southern Germany, is the latest facility by Center Parcs. The 184 hectare vacation paradise opened October 2018, and has been a great attraction ever since. It already had received 450,000 reservations by the time it opened, and park managers estimate about a million overnights every year. The cottages and restaurants at the facility have been equipped with high quality ceramic from Villeroy & Boch - both in the sanitary areas as well as with tableware products.
Center Parcs has been managing vacation facilities in 24 different locations in Germany, Holland, Belgium and France for over 50 years. The chain specializes in primarily family vacations and has a broad, diverse offer for both young and old. Park Allgau features, among other things, a tropical pool paradise with five slides, a 165-meter long white-water course, an indoor play world, a kids farm, and even a spa and country club. The concept of the park allows the guests to relax in nature the whole year long, no matter what the weather, and to benefit from the large selection of indoor and outdoor activities.
The comfort and good atmosphere of the modern park facility and cottages are also due, in part, to Villeroy & Boch: The 1,000 luxurious cottages were furnished with high-quality sanitary products and stylish ceramic from the Dining & Lifestyle collections. Special attention was paid to the coordination of the products to the profile of the buildings. The product assortment from Villeroy & Boch falls across various price and design categories so that the right solution could be found for all design wishes. The bathrooms of the Comfort, Premium and VIP cottages were furnished with products from the O.novo and Memento collections, while the 250 Exclusive cottages used the sanitary ceramic from the system collection Architectura and the strong design of the surface-mounted bathroom sink from Memento 2.0. Some of the cottages also used products from the barrier-free series O.novo Vita. For Dining & Lifestyle, products from the collections Purismo, La Divina, Victor and Artesano were used. The restaurants and the Market Café use items from the series Affinity, Dune, Artesano and Urban Nature. "
This vacation facility in Allgau is not the first successful cooperation between Villeroy & Boch and Center Parcs. The partnership had already proven itself in the vacation parks in Holland and Belgium, as well as in the construction of the Center Parcs at Bostalsee in 2013. The company has now decided to enter into a long-term cooperation agreement for its collaboration. On March 12, 2019, Villeroy & Boch and Center Parcs signed the contract at the ISH in Frankfurt am Main.
