Delight meets warmth –
Villeroy & Boch Tiles in Hotel St. Erasmus in Trassem, Germany
Extraordinary, authentic and personal – located in the heart of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park, just 4 km from the idyllic wine town of Saarburg and nearly 30 km from Trier, Hotel St. Erasmus in Trassem is a popular destination for travellers in search of a restful break from everyday life. The original building dates back to the Gasthaus zur Post, which was built in 1875. Since the 1960s, St. Erasmus has been run by the Boesen family, who have continuously expanded the house into a 3-star superior hotel, complete with restaurant and wellness centre.
Guests and gatherings are welcome to the Restaurant St. Erasmus, where they can enjoy culinary highlights from fresh, regional and experimental cuisine in special surroundings. Decorated in luxurious tiles and exotic woods in warm colours, the spa area offers three saunas along with massage and beauty treatments to help visitors feel good and unwind.
The hotel’s rooms are appointed with lavish attention to details and in different styles, offering a variety of individual living atmospheres. Comfortable and fitted with modern furnishings, the hotel offers guests single, double and family-size rooms as well as suites. To lend the rooms an attractive atmosphere, high-quality tile ranges by Villeroy & Boch have been laid that combine the practical benefits of ceramics with a discerning aesthetic.
The bathrooms in the two spacious suites, for example, were designed with the URBAN JUNGLE range. The URBAN JUNGLE design presents a surprising and fresh combination of the characters of pure concrete and artisanal terrazzo, accentuating these with relaxed colour. The décor tile Green Mix evokes old-fashioned ceramic tiles and presents a fine distressed look in gentle shades of green-beige. With charming matt-gloss effects created by a special lustre glaze, the extravagant wall coverings lend a clear and at the same time harmonious touch to the bathrooms, which are partially open and integrated into the sleeping areas.
